Testimonials

Maheshwari Rawat image
MICA’s curriculum directly translated to my success in securing a summer placement and a PPO at Google. What truly sets MICA apart is its community. The unwavering support from faculty, PlaceComm, and my peers was incredible, and experiencing the strength of the MICA network firsthand through the mentorship of MICA seniors already at Google was an invaluable part of my journey.

FAQ

What programmes does MICA offer?

MICA offers residential postgraduate and doctoral programmes across three schools. The School of Management runs the two-year PGDM-C (Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Communications), the two-year PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management, focused on data, strategy, and AI), the Fellow Programme in Management (doctoral), and the upcoming Post Graduate Certificate in Sport Management (from 2027). The School of Applied Creativity runs the PGCM programmes in Advertising and Marketing Communication (11-Month Flagship + 2-Year Advanced Track), and Digital Media and Marketing Communications. The School of Strategic Communication launches in 2027. MICA also runs online programmes and executive Leadership and Management Development Programmes for working professionals.
MICAT is MICA’s own entrance test, built to filter for creative thinking, contextual intelligence, and narrative ability alongside standard aptitude – the qualities test scores alone don’t surface. It’s conducted twice a year, typically in December and January, and MICA considers the better of your two attempts. Anyone applying to PGDM, PGDM-C, or the PGCM programmes needs to take it. For PGDM and PGDM-C, you’ll also need a valid CAT, XAT, or GMAT score alongside MICAT. For the PGCM programmes, MICAT is the primary entrance assessment.
MICAns step into the roles that shape brands, decisions, and culture. Recent PGDM and PGDM-C graduates have taken up positions as Brand Managers, Marketing Strategy Managers, Performance Marketing Leads, Product Marketers, Strategy Consultants, Business Analytics Managers, and MarTech Specialists – across FMCG, consumer tech, e-commerce, consulting, and digital media. PGCM graduates head into creative and content industries as copywriters, art directors, strategy planners, content strategists, and performance marketing managers.
XLRI is a general management institute strong in HR and marketing, with marketing offered as one stream alongside finance, operations, and HR. MICA is a specialist institute built around marketing, communication, and creative business – meaning marketing, branding, and communication sit at the centre of the curriculum from day one, not as electives. For aspirants targeting brand management, marketing communication, digital or content leadership, and creative strategy roles specifically, MICA’s focused curriculum and industry network are built for exactly those career paths. For broader general management ambitions across finance, HR, and operations, XLRI may be a better fit.

The 100% placement record, ₹20.46 LPA average package for 2025, and consistent recruiter return year-on-year support the case.
MICA’s campus is in Shela, on the outskirts of Ahmedabad – a 19-acre residential campus surrounded by institutions of national significance including IIM Ahmedabad, NID, CEPT, ISRO, the Calico Museum, and Darpana. Ahmedabad itself is a UNESCO World Heritage City, and MICA sits within one of India’s most concentrated academic and cultural neighbourhoods.

For PGDM and PGDM-C, the process runs in five stages. First, take CAT (November–December 2026), XAT (January 2027), or GMAT – a valid score in any one qualifies you. Second, register and appear for MICAT, conducted twice in December 2026 and January 2027, with MICA considering the better of your two scores. Third, get shortlisted based on combined performance across the entrance exam and MICAT. Fourth, appear for the Group Exercise and Personal Interview in March 2027. Fifth, the final merit list draws from your entrance test score, MICAT performance, GE and PI assessment, academic record, and diversity or extracurricular achievement. For PGCM programmes, MICAT is the primary entrance assessment (CAT/XAT/GMAT is not required). For FPM, the application includes a research proposal, statement of purpose, and interview with the FPM admissions committee.
